One thing we know after decades of working with writers — we all struggle to get it done. Inspiration comes and goes, life gets busy, creativity moves to the bottom of our to-do list. Even the most passionate and dedicated writers have a hard time getting to the desk.

So, we’ve created the membership program to deliver a steady-but-totally-doable supply of direction, inspiration and community connection to people who want to write, but don’t always make time for it. We’ll meet you in that longing and fill your hands with support and tools to move things forward, at your own pace.

Come join us for monthly writing gatherings, special events, writing marathon days, and a resource library packed with goodies we’ve created (and will keep creating) just for you.

Community Level

$29/month or $295/year

This level is intended for anyone in our world who wants to dive in and write together.

  • A live monthly online session to celebrate writing wins, set intentions for the month ahead, and write, write, write.

  • Special events like author evenings, Q&A sessions with Firefly coaches, discussions about publishing and other ways to get your work into the world. (9 + per year)

  • A resource library full of goodies like journalling templates, guided meditations recordings of all membership events.

  • A monthly letter from “Hello Writer” archives, delivered digitally, with an update from us to deepen.

  • Annual writing marathon days

  • A community notice board to access our generous and diverse community of writers. Looking for pen pals, beta readers or writing group buddies? Welcome.

  • Extra-early bird access to all our small group workshops with a discount. (Add how much.)

  • “Rush seats” in our small group workshops at half-price when a workshop isn’t full 10 days before it begins.

Benefactor Level

$77/month or $840/year

This is intended for folks who have more income than they immediately require, and want to support our small business and accessibility goals, while getting some extra personal support on writing.

  • Everything from the community level

  • A one-hour coaching session with a Firefly writing coach of your choice, every four months (three times a year)

  • Free spots in Firefly small-group workshops when there are spaces 1 week in advance

  • Knowing you’re helping out our team and community: 10% of all benefactor fees go directly to supporting our bursary program, the rest help our small business thrive.

  • A no-pressure invite annually to hear how we’re doing as a business, see what we’re planning at Firefly for the coming year, and have your say in all of it.

This whole thing is collaborative.

We’ve spent a year thinking and talking about this, getting your feedback and planning it out. But we still can’t entirely know what it is.

Maybe one element will turn out to be wildly popular, and we’ll repeat it regularly. Maybe a new idea will emerge from the community and feel *just right. No doubt, things will fall away as new one emerge.

We will welcome your feedback at every stage, as we create this for you, alongside you.. At the end of each 4-month period, we’ll do a formal survey to get your opinions, but you can drop us a line anytime to tell us what’s working and what’s not.
