Here’s something we know about people who love to write: Even when we crave it, it’s really hard to sit down and do it.
It doesn’t matter how inspired and hardworking we are — without structure, community and inspiration, we all get distracted, resistant and disconnected. We wander away and forget how good it feels.
Fireside is a membership program for anyone who wants to get cozy with their writing flow. It’s for anyone who longs for tools, structure, and community to keep coming back to our inner fire, over and over.
You might be saying something like —
“It’s been so long I can’t remember what writing even feels like.”
“My writing workshop ended and the momentum is starting to disappear.”
“I’m half way through a writing project and I can’t keep moving.”

If you recognize your voice on that list, welcome. Every month we’ll provide a steady supply of resources, gatherings, and points of connection for people who love to write, want to write, and struggle to write. You’re in good company here.
This is the heart of our own joy.
We love making new things together. We’re chock-full of ideas for events, challenges, downloads, gatherings, and resources. This will be in our playground.
We’re dreaming of writing pyjama parties, marathon days, and author evenings. We want to try “lab times” where you give us writing activity ideas and we figure out how to implement them. Writing challenges to keep us connected. Meditations. Journalling templates. We have so many ideas.
And — for those who want to — we’re excited to get you at the creative decision-making table. These decisions are so interesting! What should we call this new class? Which genre should we create a program about next? If you want a say in our behind-the-scenes creative process, this is it.

Community Level
$29/month or $295/year
This level is intended for anyone who wants to dive in and write.
A live “Writing Reset” online every month. We’ll clock our wins, set intentions for the month ahead, and write up a storm.
A few themed writing sessions every month — late night writes, big feels writes, writing towards clarity, writing about grief, writing when we’re stuck, and more.
Special events sprinkled through the year like author evenings, panel discussions about ways to get our work into the world, AMAs with our staff, and more.
A resource library full of goodies like journaling templates, guided meditations, and recordings of all membership events. New resources will drop monthly.
“Hello Writer” revisits, where we send an audio and digital versions of our beloved snail mail packs once a month, updated to deepen their resonance today.
Annual writing marathon days in the fall.
A community notice board to access our generous and diverse community of writers. Looking for pen pals, beta readers, or writing group buddies? Welcome.
A chance to weigh in on Firefly decisions, like which new classes to create, what to call them, what free community events to run, etc.
Early bird access and a discount to all our small group workshops (except The Big One).
“Rush seats” in our small group workshops at half-price when a workshop isn’t full 14 days before it begins.
Anything else we get inspired by! We’ll be regularly adding new live sessions and resources. This is our playground!
Benefactor Level
$79/month or $795/year
This is intended for folks who have more income than they immediately require — who might own property or a car, have access to savings and disposable income — and want to support our accessibility goals, while getting some extra personalized support on writing.
Everything from the community level
A one-hour coaching session with a Firefly writing coach of your choice, every Fireside season (three times a year)
And — knowing you’re helping out our team and community. 10% of all benefactor fees go directly to supporting our bursary program.
A no-pressure invite annually to join us and hear about our Firefly year, and have your say in what next year might include.

Everyone who signs up in January will get our first ever Push Weekend, a new take on our ever-popular Push Week (normally priced from $95–$180) for free.
$7 from everyone’s January fees (December gift cards included) will fund creative expression grants for Indigenous youths through our fundraising partnership with Indigenous Youth Roots.
We’ll likely raise the price for new members after 6–12 months, but so long as your enrollment is consistent, you’ll keep your initial price.
Sign up will be open from January 5–15, 2026.
We’ll open registration three times a year, followed by a big welcome orientation session to get everyone settled (taped of course). If you decide not to join us in January, our next opening will be in May. And even though we only open for registrations three times a year, you’re not locked in. We’re committing to doing this for one year.
Maybe we’ll love this and keep it going for much longer, but this is a new animal that we’re just now getting to know. We’re buckled in for 12 months, and we’ll see.
This means that we’ll only be selling 1-year memberships this winter — for the spring recruitment session, we’ll offer monthly memberships. Once we’re fully in the swing of things, we’ll revisit.
