Here’s something we know about people who love to write: Even when we crave it, it’s really hard to sit down and do it.
It doesn’t matter how inspired and hardworking we are — without structure, community and inspiration, we all get distracted, resistant and disconnected. We wander away and forget how good it feels.
Fireside is a membership program for anyone who wants to get cozy with their writing. It’s for anyone who longs for tools, structure, and community to keep coming back to our inner fire, over and over. Every month we’ll provide a steady supply of resources, gatherings, and points of connection for people who love to write, want to write, and struggle to write.

Community Level
$34/month or $345/year
This level is intended for anyone who wants to dive in and write in community.
A 2-hour “Writing Reset Session” online every month. We’ll clock our wins, set intentions for the month ahead, and write up a storm.
Themed writing sessions scattered through each month, all at different times to fit lots of schedules.
Co-working sessions at least time twice. Gather to write quietly, drawing flow and focus from other writers.
Author events sprinkled through the year, the next one with poet Brandon Wint in July.
A resource library full of goodies like character development sheets, guided meditations, monthly revisits of our archived “Hello Writer” program, and recordings of all writing sessions.
An annual writing marathon day in the fall.
A community notice board to access our generous and diverse community of writers. Looking for pen pals, beta readers, or writing group buddies? Welcome.
Early bird access and a discount for small group workshops, as well as “rush seats” — half-price spots in any small group workshops if they aren’t full 14 days before they start.
Anything else we get inspired by! We love making stuff up. We love your ideas. We’ll keep growing this together, month by month.
Benefactor Level
$84/month or $845/year
This is intended for folks who have more income than they immediately require — who might own property, have savings and disposable income — and want to support our accessibility goals, while getting some extra personalized support on writing.
Everything from the community level.
A one-hour coaching session with a Firefly writing coach of your choice, every Fireside season (unlocked after every 4 months of membership).
Knowing you’re helping out our team and community, because 10% of all benefactor fees go directly to our Firefly financial aid program.
A no-pressure invite annually to join a cozy and casual “board meeting” with us, to hear how our year went, and have a say in what next year might look like.
Sign-up will open on May 5, 2026.
We’ll open registration three times a year, followed by a big welcome orientation session to get everyone settled (taped, of course). If you decide not to join us in May, our next opening will be in September. Once you sign up, you can cancel anytime. Here are our full financial policies.
To ground in our values and share the love, we’re offering 5 free, season-long spots this spring to anyone with income barriers. Fill out the Fireside Bursary Application form by Wednesday, April 29th. We’ll use a random number generator to choose the recipients, and let everyone know by May 4th.
If you don’t receive the bursary this time and you’d still like to join, or if you’d like to pay a lower monthly fee, get in touch, and we’ll find a way to make it work.
