Here’s what we know: It’s really hard to stay close to our work. It doesn’t matter how inspired and hardworking we are, without structure, community and inspiration, we all get distracted, wander away, and forget how good it feels to write.

Fireside is a membership program for anyone who wants to get cozy with their writing flow. It might look like:

“It’s been so long I can’t remember what writing even feels like anymore.”
“I took a writing class and want to keep the momentum going.”
“I’m half way through a writing project and stuck.”
“I just like being around other people who love language and stories.”

. Every month we’ll provide a steady supply of resources, gatherings and points of connection for people who love to write, want to write, and struggle at times to actually get around to writing. You’re in good company here.

This is for us, too.

The truth is, we love making new things together. We’re chock-a-block with ideas for programs, challenges, resources and events we want to run. This program lets us have a sandbox to be in our creative joy, too.

We’re dreaming of writing pyjamma parties, late night writes, writing marathon days, author evenings with Firefly community members who have gone on to do big things, “lab times” where you get to suggest writing activities and we figure out how to implement them. We have so many ideas, and we can’t wait to unleash them for you, and with you.

Community Level

$27/month or $295/year

This level is intended for anyone in our world who wants to dive in and write together.

A live “Fireside Session” online every month. This is your writing reset button. We’ll clock our wins, set intentions for the month ahead, and write, write, write.
Special events every month like author evenings, Q&A sessions with Firefly coaches, discussions about how to get our work into the world.
A resource library full of goodies like journaling templates, guided meditations, and recordings of all membership events. New resources will drop monthly.
Regular letters from “Hello Writer” archives, delivered digitally, with an update from us to deepen their resonance today.
Annual writing marathon days in September.
A community notice board to access our generous and diverse community of writers. Looking for pen pals, beta readers, or writing group buddies? Welcome.
Extra-early bird access to all our small group workshops with a discount.
“Rush seats” in our small group workshops at half-price when a workshop isn’t full 10 days before it begins.
Anything else we feel inspired by! We’ll be regularly adding new live sessions and resources. This is our playground!

Benefactor Level

$77/month or $840/year

This is intended for folks who have more income than they immediately require — who might own property or a car, have access to savings and disposable income — and want to support our accessibility goals, while getting some extra personalized support on writing.

Everything from the community level
And — a one-hour coaching session with a Firefly writing coach of your choice, every season (four times a year)
And — knowing you’re helping out our team and community. 10% of all benefactor fees go directly to supporting our bursary program.
A no-pressure invite annually to join us and hear how our Firefly year went, what we’re planning for the coming year, and have your say in all of it.

Need an extra reason to sign up?

We’re excited to say that for everyone who signs up for the January cohort will include our first ever Push Weekend, a new take on our ever-popular Push Week (normally priced from $95–$180) and $7 from all January fees will go directly to fund grants for Indigenous Youth to follow their passion projects, through our fundraising partnership with Indigenous Youth Roots.
