Damselfly Studio is the home and gallery of artist Susan Ware. It's about 2 hours from Toronto, 4.5 hours from Ottawa, on Lake Muskoka, just outside of Gravenhurst. It features her gorgeous art throughout, and many accessibility features which we're excited to share.

Accessibility notes

  • There is a wide ramp to access the front door.

  • Group activities and meals will all take place on the main floor of the cottage. There are no stairs to access any of these rooms.

  • There is a very large wheelchair-accessible veranda/deck, door width is 34".

  • All doorways on the main floor are at least 32 inches wide, so suitable for wheelchair users.

  • The two wheelchair-accessible bedrooms main floor feature ensuite bathrooms with 34" door widths.

  • All bedrooms in the cottage have ensuite bathrooms.

  • There are a variety of chairs and sofas, with and without arms, for all kinds of bodies.

  • We have Heathcare Harm Reduction Policies in place. While masks aren’t mandatory at this event (shared meals make this challenging), masks are welcome, and we are happy to talk through how to make this event as safe as possible for anyone with concerns about Covid or other infectious diseases.

Questions? Other needs? We’d love to talk.

Feel free to reach out to us to discuss access needs!
