Accessibility notes

  • The entrances to the building, and the workshop space are wide, and free of stairs.

  • On each side of the building, the doors have accessibility buttons, which operate from 9am-5pm or when a FOB is tapped.

  • The workshop space is on the second floor of the building, and there's a wheelchair-accessible elevator.

  • The doors to the building and elevator are 35 inches wide. The elevator is a bit slow, but it works! The door for the office itself is 36 inches.

  • The workshop space is large, with wide doors, all on one level.

  • There are 12 office chairs, 4 of which do not have arm rests. There’s also a 2-seater couch and 2 extra folding chairs if needed.

Public transportation options

  • The 126 bus travels from Christie Station to St. Clair West Station. It stops in front of the building. It's the closest bus, but it doesn't run very often (~every 20 min). Elevators are available at St. Clair West Station. Elevators are not yet available at Christie Station.

  • The 512 streetcar is currently not operating, but shuttle buses are running frequently, though they are more crowded. These shuttle buses stop about 1.5 blocks from Christie and St. Clair West. The streetcar is expected to resume in Spring 2024, so it might be operating again by the end of May. It’s possible that these plans will change so check the TTC website for the most up-to-date information.

  • Finally, the buses running north from Bathurst Station also stop near the building (550 meters away).

  • TTC accessibility info on buses and on streetcars.
