Writing Retreats in Southern Ontario

Summerglow: Weekend writing retreats in Ontario this July and August.

Is your creative writing craving inspiration and focus?
This is a weekend for people who want to write wildly and playfully, using prompts and activities that reconnect us to our lives and longings, our dreams and desires, ourselves. Summer is a perfect time to experiment with being open, playful, creative and wise. We’ll meet in a manor house on Lake Simoe to spill words and laughter, to connect with each other, to take in the warmth of Ontario summers and to WRITE. Participants may have projects on the go, or may simply arrive with big open hearts and the desire to create.

Hearts On Fire: A Delicious four-night writing retreat on Georgian Bay in August.

Do you have a writing project or idea that’s longing for some time and attention? Do the constant demands of everyday life get in the way of the creative process you’re craving? Are you yearning for a nice stretch of time to relax into your work, your body and your creative pulse? Hearts On Fire is the place to bring those desires. With the big canvas of five days of writing, sharing and focused silent time on the shores of Georgian Bay, participants will be able to slow down and ease into the hugeness of their work and themselves.

Bright Harvest: A weekend writing retreat in southern Ontario this fall

In this busy world we’re always making things — lists, plans, emails, sandwiches. It takes time to step out of the bustle and create mindfully, carefully and lovingly. This is a retreat for people with stories in their hearts that they want to get down. We’ll gather at a big manor house on a lake — ten participants and two facilitators — and we’ll write. In silence and in laughter, in circles and all alone, we’ll find just the right words and sentences and images to move our stories out into the world.  Participants may have projects on the go, or may simply arrive with big open hearts and the desire to create.
